Dr. Ritter is a highly passionate and dedicated professional who finds immense joy in her work as an endodontist. With 36 years of experience in the oral healthcare field, she has dedicated her career to the management of dental pain and trauma to make a remarkable difference in her patients’ lives.

What excites Dr. Ritter the most about her work is the opportunity to help patients in distress and unimaginable pain. Being able to alleviate their suffering and witness their transformation back to a pain-free life brings her the utmost joy. Additionally, she finds great fulfillment in the treatment of dental trauma, because it allows her to make a significant impact on a child’s smile and facial growth, which preserves oral health and overall well-being.

Excellence in Education

Dr. Ritter earned her Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the prestigious University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she also completed her master’s degree and obtained a certificate in endodontics.

Dr. Ritter has also trained at the Federal University of Santa Catarina in Florianópolis, Brazil, where she obtained another certificate in endodontics and her DDS in Dentistry. This comprehensive education provided her with a strong foundation in both the theoretical knowledge and practical skills necessary to deliver exceptional endodontic care.

By continuously expanding her knowledge, Dr. Ritter stays at the forefront of her field. She actively engages in postgraduate education, attending lectures and staying connected with professional organizations such as the Durham/Orange Study Club, the Seattle Study Club, and various business and leadership clubs.

Through this dedication to continuing education and involvement with respected institutions, Dr. Ritter ensures that she is equipped with the latest advances in evidence-based endodontic treatment, which empowers her to provide the best and most effective care to her patients.

Outside the Office

Dr. Ritter has a close-knit family that spans continents from here to Brazil. She is the proud parent of two children, Juliana and Joao, and also has a son-in-law named Avery. Since her immediate family resides in Brazil, Dr. Ritter cherishes the time she spends with them whenever she has the opportunity to visit her home country.

Having made Chapel Hill/Carrboro her home for the past 26 years, Dr. Ritter has established deep roots in the community. Originally hailing from the countryside of southern Brazil, she moved to the picturesque island of Florianopolis to pursue her dental education. With her deep appreciation for family and her commitment to her patients, she strives to provide exceptional dental care and to create a warm and welcoming environment at her practice.

When she’s not caring for patients, Dr. Ritter enjoys hanging out with friends, exercising, hiking, traveling, and enjoying her beach house in Topsail Island. She also loves music, dancing, and reading a good book.
